Full Strawberry Moon in Capricorn – 8°14 Capricorn – will peak on June 29th, 5:58 PM, MDT.
The Full Strawberry Moon rises each June as a soft herald of summer’s sweetness, named for the fleeting season when wild strawberries ripen in fields and forests. It carries a warm, generous energy, marking the point in the year when growth turns toward ripening and the earth begins to offer its first true fruits. It arrives just days after the Summer Solstice (Sunday, June 21, 2026), when the Sun reaches its highest point in the sky and daylight lingers longest across the Northern Hemisphere. Though the solstice has passed, its warmth and vitality continue to flow through the land, nourishing all that has taken root.
Spiritually, this moon symbolizes nourishment, fulfillment, and the quiet joy of seeing early intentions begin to bear fruit. Its light feels gentle yet affirming—reminding us to savor what is blooming in our lives, to gather what is ready, and to honor the small but meaningful rewards that come from patience and steady tending.
June’s Strawberry Moon takes its name from the Algonquin peoples of northeastern North America, who marked this moon as the time when wild strawberries reached their peak of ripeness. For generations, it signaled a season of gathering, gratitude, and abundance. Across cultures, this moon has also been known as the Honey Moon, Rose Moon, Green Corn Moon, Hot Moon, Birth Moon, Hatching Moon, Mead Moon, Horse Moon, Blooming Moon, and Berries Ripen Moon.

<Using your Sage Wand, cleanse the space around the circle. As you do so, say>
I cleanse this space of all negative, and uninvited energy. I summon the abundant energy of the Strawberry Moon, the grounding strength of Mother Earth, and the presence of all benevolent spirits who walk in harmony with this sacred gathering.
<return to the center to cast the circle – you may remind the participants that this ritual has no quarter candles, but to remain within the smudged area>
I cast this circle, a sacred space. A boundary between the spirit world the physical world, where all are welcome.
East
Let us begin by turning to the East, the direction of Air. Let the warm summer winds carry away any confusion and uncertainty. Open your mind to fresh possibilities and allow inspiration to find fertile ground within your thoughts. Trust in your decisions and learn from your mistakes.
South
Now turn to the South, the direction of Fire. Open yourselves, feel the energy and the passion, gather your courage to make lasting plans, and hold the determination to see them through. Be bold, awaken your will and strengthen your resolve to bring worthy endeavors into being. You are the master of your own future.
West
Look now to the West and give your attention to the direction of Water. Taking charge, means embracing those things which reside inside of you – your emotions, intuition, and wisdom. Allow their currents to flow through you, cleansing away doubts and worries, nourishing the seeds of possibility within your spirit. Be bold.
North
Bring your sight now to the North, the direction of Earth. Gaze out at the rocks, the soil, and all that the land provides. Let the land remind you that all meaningful growth requires patience, persistence, and strong roots. What is nurtured with care shall eventually bear fruit. Focus on staying steady and grounded.
Introduction
Spiritually, the Strawberry Moon is a symbol of ripening potential, gratitude, and the quiet transformation that occurs when effort meets time. Arriving near the height of summer, it reminds us that not all growth is immediate; some blessings require patience, nurturing, and faith before they reveal themselves. Like the strawberry that slowly develops from blossom to fruit, our dreams, intentions, and personal journeys mature through seasons of care and perseverance. The Strawberry Moon invites us to recognize what is flourishing in our lives, to give thanks for the abundance already present, and to trust that what has been planted with purpose will, in its proper time, bear fruit. It is a moon of fulfillment, but also a moon of responsibility, reminding us that every harvest begins with a seed and every blessing carries the opportunity to create even more.

Strawberry Moon – The Moon of Emerging Opportunities
Within each of us exists a collection of dreams, plans, ambitions, and intentions. Some appear briefly before fading away, while others linger for months or years, patiently waiting for the right conditions to emerge. Many remain hidden beneath the surface because we doubt ourselves, hesitate too long, or convince ourselves the timing is not right. Of all the things on earth, humanity might be the only group that tries to outthink nature.
It’s easy to understand when we look at the simple things. A strawberry does not question whether it deserves to ripen. A flower does not hesitate before it blooms. The earth simply follows its purpose, responding to the seasons as they unfold. Nature just does.
Perhaps this full strawberry moon asks us to do the same. Rather than focusing upon what has not yet happened, let us recognize what is already in motion. Let us acknowledge those opportunities that are beginning to emerge and commit ourselves to nurturing them until they reach their fullest expression. Simply put, get out of our own way and let the guiding hand of the universe take charge.
Each month on the full moon, we focus on ridding ourselves of negative energy; cleansing and clearing it away for good. It’s a reset that allows for the negative weight of everyday living to be shed, burned, and sent away into the universe.
Tonight is not about spiritual cleansing, instead it’s about starting over. It is about continuing forward.
Tonight we gather the powerful lunar energy of the Strawberry Moon above and the grounding energy of the Earth below. We draw these forces together and direct them toward our highest aspirations.
What have you cultivated within yourself during the past year?
What signs of growth have begun to appear?
What still requires patience?
What actions will help transform possibility into reality?
If you have brought a symbol of your goal, hold it firmly with both hands. If your goal exists only as a thought, write it upon your paper and hold it before you.
Focus upon your intention. Feel the lunar energy descending from above while the strength of the Earth rises beneath you. Envision your goal flourishing, overcoming obstacles, and becoming something tangible in the world.
If you wish, read your words aloud and bring them into existence.

Offering and Gratitude
As the Earth gives us fruit, we return thanks.
For nourishment, for sweetness, and for abundance.
We honor the blessings within and around us.
To the spirits who walk beside us,
To the Strawberry Moon that illuminates our path,
To the Earth and its enduring strength,
We offer our gratitude.
May these intentions continue to grow,
And may they reach their fullest potential.
Closing Our Full Strawberry Moon Ritual
North
Join me once again and look to the North. Remember the enduring strength of the land beneath your feet and the pull of the grounding energy. May its stability accompany you wherever your path may lead.
West
Now look once more to the West. Trust in the wisdom of flowing waters. They teach us that progress is rarely immediate, yet persistence always finds a way forward.
South
Our eyes now turn to the South, where fire continues to burn. May its passion inspire action, and may its light illuminate the road ahead.
East
Now East again, where every ending becomes the doorway to another beginning. Carry with you the clarity, inspiration, and possibility awakened beneath this moon.
Now with gratitude in your heart and purpose in your step, go in peace. This circle is open but unbroken.
