Samhain

Samhain marks the end of the harvest and the true descent into the dark half of the year. It’s a time when the final crops are gathered, the fields are left to rest, and the year’s labor is acknowledged without illusion. The season centers on the ancestors, honoring those who came before and recognizing the thinness of the veil between the living and the dead. It carries the weight of transition: shorter days, colder nights, and a turning inward toward reflection and preparation. Protection is a core theme, as thresholds invite both blessing and disruption, and households traditionally strengthen boundaries and tend the hearth. Samhain is also a time of release—letting go of what no longer serves, clearing out old stories, and making space for renewal. Divination becomes a tool for clarity, not spectacle, as people seek insight for the months ahead. At its heart, Samhain is a moment of truth, remembrance, and intentional passage into winter.
