The Full Pink Moon in Libra for 2025 will peak at 6:23 PM, MST – 23 Lib 20′. It is the first full moon of Spring. We call April’s Full Moon the Pink Moon because of one of the earliest blooming spring flowers, the pink Phlox, starts to flower around this time. Other names for April’s Full Moon are the Sprouting Grass Moon, the Frog Moon, Broken Snowshoe Moon, the Fish Moon, the Hare Moon, and the Egg Moon. It’s also called the Sucker Moon, the Sugar Maker Moon, the Breaking Ice Moon, the Paschal Moon, the Seed Moon, and Growing Moon.
Unlike some other months, as a whole, all of the names for the April Full Moon are tied to the changing season and the arrival of spring. It’s no wonder the Full Pink Moon ritual is an annual favorite. It, like the season of spring itself, is a time of renewal and rebirth. Plus, there’s something magickal about the color pink. It makes people think of love, happiness, newness, and creates an overall sense of happiness. Spiritually, the timing is perfect for cleansing. As we clear the dust from our houses, allowing the fresh air to come inside, we should also release the negative energy that has been cluttering our lives, and allow positivity to come in. It’s time to cast of the weight of those things which are holding us back from achieving our greatest and highest version of ourselves. Our ritual tonight is rooted in the idea of living in harmony with the land and honoring the sacredness of life’s rhythms.

Abundant prayers, blessings soon
While blossoms bloom, our hearts expands

A stirring within, the seeds of Spring
My inner voice, sweet words does sing
Now by moon and bloom, and by sacred tide
Guide my hand, from deep inside
Introduction
Before we begin our cleaning ritual, we will engage with the energies of the land, the elements, and the moon.
A Blessing for the Waters
<Place a few flowers gently in the bowl of water>
‘O sacred well, our land’s delight,
Plus graceful blooms in the moon’s fair light,
As the petals float, so shall we grow,
In beauty, grace, with hearts aglow.
<Dip your fingers in the water and anoint the foreheads, hearts, and hands of all present>
A Blessing for The Moon
<Hold the green stone or rose quartz to your heart, and look skyward>
From grounded earth to sky above
Surrounded by eternal love
Energies join within my soul
Only both can bring me whole
<Touch the stone to the top of each participants head and then to the ground in front of them>
An Offering to the Land
<Pour out a small libation of honey, mead/wine, or milk onto the Earth>
Spirits of land, of stone and tree,
Ancestors near and gods I see,
Accept this gift with love and cheer,
I honor all who gather near
Cleansing And Clearing Negative Energy
<Pass out paper and pencils>
As we cleanse and clear under the full Pink Moon, we are willingly stepping away from those things which are no longer serving our highest self. Whether places, people, behaviors, or engagement, we have come to the realization that those negative influences are no good for us and need to be banished. There is no judgement or scorecard for the choices we are making, it’s simply a logical and rational look at the multitude of influential things in our lives and discarding the ones which are working against our spiritual growth.
Tonight, I call upon each of you to focus on those things which no longer serve you. Those activities or actions which are counterproductive or leave you feeling drained. Write them down and commit that list to the great spirits of fire and air for banishment. Tonight, under this glorious full Pink Moon, I ask that each of you make a pact with yourself to avoid returning to bad behaviors and associating with bad influencers, regardless of how hard they try to pull you back. Do this without shame, guilt, or fear. You are in control.
When you are ready, approach the fire and cast your list into the flames. As they burn repeat the words, “I give up freely that which is no longer serving me,” as many times as necessary.
Closing our Full Pink Moon Circle
North
Look again with me to the North, stretch your sight to the far reaches of the land and seek out the Spirits of Earth. Offer a word of thanks and a gentle nod, for you shall see them each night forward as the earth blossoms and blooms. Remember their gifts and keep them true to your heart <extinguish Green Candle in the North>
West
Turn to the West, energized and empowered with the lightness that comes with shedding negative energy. Remember that water will flow to places where emptiness exists, so do not allow those spaces to remain empty for long. Fill them with positivity, friendship, light, and love <extinguish Blue Candle in the North>
South
Now South again and reverently thank the Fire spirits for their service in burning away those things which no longer serve us. Cleansing provides a fresh start and a clean slate from which new life can begin. Do not return to the season passed, but look forward to the season ahead <extinguish Red Candle in the South>
East
East once more, with the finality of this Full Pink Moon ritual at the cusp. Take not only a free spirit with you, but also an open mind, a spring in your step, and a joyful feeling of freedom and the knowledge of emerging life <extinguish Yellow Candle in the East>
Strength comes from many sources. Our Gods and Goddesses, the powerful lunar energy, and the grounding energy of the very earth itself. Use this moment to commit to bringing all the strengths of the universe together for your own personal spiritual growth. Spring has sprung and now is the time. Go now in peace. This circle is open, but the connections are never broken.
